Indianapolis

My baby brother just got his mission call! To Indianapolis, Indiana!

It is so crazy that he is so close! So tempted to just run into him on accident!

He also fulfills the Hunsaker curse of living over here by Kentucky. So far my brother Jon and James have lived in Kentucky (and me of course) now Jake is so close. Only one more... JULIE!

I'm very excited and proud of Jake. He reports to the MTC October 12th. CRAZY!!! He is getting so grown up!

Meet Max

Jared has a new best friend.

His name is Max.

They hang out together all the time.

Entertain each other.

He cares about Max, how he is doing, if he is covered at night, if he is getting enough 'food' for his needs, etc.

Jared loves Max.

I am not jealous of the relationship yet. But Max is just gonna have to deal with me using him for what he is worth...

which was a lot.

One day Max will fall out of grace with Jared and I will be there ...

But not for a while.

Please meet

Mr. Max E. Pad

Meet Harry

We would like to welcome Harry to the family.

I saw him in Arizona and instantly fell in love.

We then purchased him and brought him home. So far he has done well. I really like how quiet and peaceful he is and how he reminds me of home.

He gets homesick sometimes with all the rain, just like me. We miss the sun together.

Meet Harry.

Just a Blib

Wow,

It has been a crazy summer. Here just a blib of what been going on.

Mike and Lynsie came to Kentucky for a quick visit. IT was AWESOME. We did tons of stuff! Picked strawberries, went to churchhill downs, went to circ-de-sole, cooked ribs, went shopping, watch UFC... (well the boys did) etc etc.

James and Sydney officially moved to Kentucky. (except they don't officially live in their apartment til the first of July.)

I have been workin' hard at the hospital and while it may be hard at times I absolutely love it.

I also have been workin' at Bath and Body which is always fun but kinda crazy with the semi annual sale happening. (cant believe I've worked there almost 3 years!)

NURSERY. We have been at it for 6 months. I somehow doubt that we will be released anytime soon (as we were told we would). Oh well. Nothing really new there... except we keep getting more kids... really 14+ is getting to be just too many (maybe a 3rd nursery coming??)

I am currently working on a craftly/necessary project for our front door.

Jared is officially a 4th year. It is hard to believe we will only be in Kentucky for 2 more years. It makes me sad. I like this place. It has really grown on me.

Jared is trying to train for a sprint triathlon. I am trying to learn how to swim so maybe I can do it too. (I know how to swim I just stink at it- good thing I lowered Jared's expectations before so he thought I was great. ha!)

Hopefully I will get the chance to tell more of the fun stories. I hope!!! Maybe Sunday?

Oh yes and today is my twin brothers birthday. Happy Birthday James!

Motivation on my Run

I wish I had a better camera with me. I thought these scenes were beautiful... The sun was a hot red color. It was so cool, with the horse stables and the farm. Made me feel like I lived in the countryside.

BHE

As I had stated before I have a new job at the Hospital for the summer.

I was really nervous as I was applying for these new jobs as a "Nurse Extern" because I was in the wake of finishing up school for the semester and the positions are really competitive. I was trying to come up with a back up plan for work in the summer. I couldn't think of anything super awesome or creative

Plan B: Work at Bath and Body Works, Work for the Babysitting Company (both of which I already do) and then.... volunteer at the hospital or try to get a certified nursing assistant job, OR if both of those failed, I would get a job at Kroger. Super awesome plan.

I'm glad that I didn't have to instigate plan B.

I got one rejection. I got a call from one of the hospitals accepting me right away.... Meaning they didn't interview any of their applicants. I was very happy to get some kind of nurse extern job, but I was wanting one hospital in particular (BHE- Baptist Hospital East). I had an initial interview there, and thought I had bombed it....

When you call someones baby the wrong gender... some people get offended...

I thought it was then end for that place. So when I got a call from the other hospital I accepted. But then I got a call for another interview on the orthopaedic floor at BHE. I went, interviewed and then got the acceptance call! HOORAY!

I accepted the job at BHE, and then had to call the other hospital and... cancel. woops. (I was super nervous, but they really didn't care... hmmm)

I finished orientation at BHE and have worked on the ortho floor for 2 weeks. I have been working 3, 12hr shifts each week. It is amazing how quickly the day goes and how tired I am when I get home. PLUS I'm still working my other two jobs (not very often though)

I'm excited, but I'm still lost as to what I have to do. I still don't quiet understand my role in the day, but I'm getting better. My guess I will get it when the 10 weeks is over. But then I will be ahead for my preceptor-ship next semester which is great. ANYTHING to get ahead.

Hopefully one day I can work in this hospital. I like the fact that people are nice, the hospital is nice and it is a magnet status hospital. Meaning they listen to ME!
We will see. I need to get through this next semester and pass the N-CLEX before I worry about working.

Arizona

I feel so behind in blog post, but literally I just didn't feel like doing any. Til this morning.

I went to Arizona this last week. It was a really fun, good and relaxing time. It was really fun to go back to my old ward where while there were lots of new people, there were also the oldies that I grew up with. (some old some not). At church I also had the opportunity to walk in on a young man in the bathroom. That was weird. BUT in my defense... It was the family bathroom AND WHO DOESN'T LOCK THE BATHROOM DOOR AT CHURCH????

I also had the change to catch up with people!
I had dinner with high school buds Sarah and Ashliegh. It was fun as always, because we got kinda goofy.
I had lunch with the Mrs. Claudia Tieman. It was SO nice to just be like we saw each other the other day and had never missed a beat. ahhh... (ummm why didn't we get a picture together!?)

How I miss having that kind of friend in Kentucky. (it reminded me how much I really do like to have friends)

I went to a bachelorette party for James' then future wife Sydney. I had time to catch up with Rachel (a friend since... I was 4 ish), and with Kate! (MOMMA KATE!)

Kate and I were able to hang out and shop together... which just made us more feel more lonely when we went back to our own states. :( But now we are talking all the time because we are both lonely people! Hooray! The Lonelys Unite!

Then for family to start coming in town for the wedding. It was so good to see everyone! and so much fun! -Oh and did I mention that my parents have a huge new house... kinda weird not going home to my home for like 20 years.-

Then pictures the night before the wedding.

Then for the actual wedding ceremony. It was great and James and Sydney looked so happy!

Then there were the mustaches....

AND then we partied at the reception. It was BEAUTIFUL. The best part was decorating the car!!!, and seeing people that I haven't seen in years!, and dancing... and basically everything!

Then it was back home to good ol' Kentucky. Where I had to go to orientation for my new job- that I'm super excited about! I will blog that later. BUT odds are that my new sister in law and brother will be coming to Kentucky for a couple of years (as soon as they get back from HAWAII). It must be a Hunsaker right-of-passage or something! Can't wait for them to get here!
