Frustrated so...

As a little update, because I haven't really had the time to find things to blog about, I have been very busy with school. Mostly school but the other factors in my life don't make it any less busy. School is going well and I have found that I like to do medical calculations :) Jared says that it is math... I say no way I hate math... it is chemistry. Chemistry it is.

I have been quite frustrated lately with stuff... cough... sc cough.. hool cough hack, so in order to save you from the unpleasantness that is my life at the moment, I took this picture of Charlie last night. This pretty much describes him at home when it is cold.

He LOVES the heater. If ever we have no place for him to go, I think he would love it in Arizona. (except he would no longer be a house dog)
Whenever Jared and I are huddled on the couch around the space heater (because I keep the house ridiculously cold in the winter...55 is livable though Charlie will somehow squeeze his way in between us to get the prime spot with the heater. If ever he is driving me crazy get another heater our and he will sit right in front of it. Any person would burn with how close he is, but his fur saves him.
Also we have had to close our bedroom door when we leave because Charlie REALLY likes the bed. He knows he is not supposed to get up there unless he is told he can, but in a cold house with no one watching... i would do the same.

I cant believe we have had this dog for over a year. He was such a cute and sweet puppy

and now he is a crazy and fun dog.

That would be my CLEAN laundry.

Christmas Weeks

Wow. Alot has happened this last month. So in an attempt to go in chronological order I will go through the adventures.

I took my finals for school and did well. I was really nervous for my pharm final and ended up being obsessive about checking for my grade online, but of course it wasn't ever posted and I eventually emailed my teacher and I got a 93.73 :) HAPPY with that.

This Christmas was mostly with my family. We got there on Monday night and I don't remember much, except I was really hungry, warm and tired.
Tuesday we went shopping for toys for a family for christmas. FUN But it is always even more fun to drop off the stuff and door bell ditch. We also got family pictures taken. Paul (nephew) was not happy about that, but they turned out good!

On Wednesday through Saturday we went to a cabin in pine. It was warmer there than ky too. It was fun to get to just relax play beatles rockband, go for rides on the rhino and quad, and go to the antique stores.
Sadly sunday we were at the airport again, but not to go home yet. We got to also visit the Armstrongs in utah. It was a short but fun visit. And we even got to see Carrie, Arron and Eli for a quick minute. We had only a full day but it was packed full of stuff. We went to lunch, went shooting, and had the Armstrong christmas party.
THEN we were off to go home.

Thats when my last post about the Christmas tree happened.

Then Jaren and Emily drove all the way from Wisconsin for Christmas. It was fun and we watched tons of movies had tons of food, and enjoyed Christmas waking up to the fire alarm. Nothing serious just a misconception about the fireplace vent. We were very sad and traumatized when life became boring and lonely again when Jaren and Emily left.

Then New Years, nothing really happened that night. we actually went to bed at 11:30 and got up 5 before midnight and then went back to bed. Lame.

So now to the present. It is January (obliviously) And Jared is back to work like normal. (All the time) And I am back to school like normal, but now I get to wear my oh so awesome scrubs... they really aren't that awesome. I stick out like a sore thumb. But people treat/look at you differently, in a good way which is nice. This semester looks like it will be a hard one, but I'm very excited because now I'm doing the stuff I LIKE to do.
We got a new primary class and lets just say they are quiet and it is a small class. Last week we had 4 show up. I don't think I have ever had just 4.
And yesterday/today it has been snowing. I love the snow and miss it from Utah, but it is really COLD too and that I don't miss. Charlie has been loving the snow, and it is crazy to know that we brought him home one year ago. He still drives me crazy sometimes, but he is my buddy.
So that is the readers digest version of about the last month. I hope this one will be even better. Oh and by the way my resolution this year is to floss everyday :)

(p.s. there are more pictures, but I have to get them off my camera later...)

Even Charlie Brown could get one

We got back from our vacation last night at about 8p. (which I will blog about later) And there is so so so SO much to get done before our company comes.
Jared and I decided to try to get a tree right when we picked Charlie up... but well, there were none at homedepot or lowes. :(
It then was my job to find one today. Wednesday. The 23rd. 2 days til Christmas.

I set out on my adventure at nine in the morning with my spirits high thinking... Charlie Brown found a Christmas tree on the 24th, this will be easy. Even before we left SLC there were tree lots with lots of trees.

So I left and 3 hours later there was NOTHING. Every lot I passed by had none! Then by some miracle I found a tree lot with trees! As I parked to look at trees I realized there was no one there and the fence was closed. :(
I mean come on even Charlie Brown found a Christmas tree on Christmas eve.

I was so frustrated that I called my mom to complain. As I was talking to her an older couple pulled up and looked around the lot. I decided to get out and ask them if they were looking for a tree. As it would be my prayers were answered in the strangest way. These people were not looking for a tree but sold the trees to the vendors and were checking up on them! WHAT ARE THE ODDS!!!!
They knew all their lots were and made some calls. I finally pulled up to a lot with trees. The man that they called told me where to go and that they were closed BUT I could take a tree (There were about 6 left) and just make a donation.

I got there and found the lot. Only problem was I had to get the tree on the top of my car and tie it down. I must have had some adrenaline going through my veins because that tree felt light as I threw it onto my car roof. I always have tie downs in my car and I tied it down.

(This whole ordeal made me wonder what happened to chivalry? I was in a very busy shopping center doing this all by my lonesome. No one even stopped to stare let alone help. When I have boys of my own they WILL be the one that stops to help a girl putting a Christmas tree on her car. I mean.. really where is the Christmas spirit....)

I ended up keeping the tree on my car through the whole drive home and with a nice 60$ tree for my twenty dollar donation. It only took 4 hours, but it was worth getting a tree.

Charlie Brown found a Christmas Tree and so did I.

Morbid

I'm sure that all of those in Kentucky have at one point driven downtown on the 71. Well right before you reach the 71 -64 merge into the 65 you pass a sign. One of those large freeway information signs. It is supposed to tell you about accidents, delays ect.
Well for the last couple weeks maybe even months this sign has had one use. Everyday it says that (_#_)of Kentuckians die on the roads in 2009. Sure sure... they are trying to scare us into driving safer, the thing is... if you drive downtown everyday you can watch the numbers go up. On Monday and Tuesday the number was 724 Then on Wednesday 732 Then on Thursday (today) 742. That's a lot of people that die in a couple days. On average 1.98 people die everyday in Kentucky, but they make the numbers jump 10 on one day and none for a week.

I told Jared yesterday that if I for some reason died in some crazy accident on the road in Kentucky that he request that my NUMBER not go on the morbid board.

There are just so many things wrong with this sign.
A precious life tallied as just another number, someones loved ones death shown to everyone, not to mention it is kinda morbid.

If anything that sign just causes more accidents because people have to slow down to read what it says.

Just thought I would rant about it. If you think about it, it is kinda weird.

(I tried to put a picture up, but for some reason it is not working now... I will try later)

Here is the link to the Oranment Wreath

Hello again everyone!
I got a lot of comments on the wreath. It really was so easy and I just copied a lady in my ward. This is the link to her craft site if you want the instruction for the wreath. Just thought I would let everyone in on the fun!

Only problem is you will see how good hers looks and my will fall in 'cuteness' points. Sigh... welp, I can't say I didn't try :)

Again with The Random

About 2 months ago I was feeling down so I decided to focus on Jared, I set up a 'fancy' dinner for Jared and I. 3 courses. lol. Salad, meatloaf (jareds favorite) and dessert (chocolate covered pretzels and strawberries ect.)
So I got all the candles out and dusted them off... seriously. Made dinner and even bought some sparkling cider. I got some extra sheets and used them to close off the dinning room, and had my computer play music for ambiance. And then waited for Jared to get home. All in all. It was a good, cheap date night, and it was fun.

I also made a cute ornament wreath last month. It was perfect because we don't have a wreath. (Thanks to Kathryn) I think it is REALLY cute, but I made it and I may be biased. I just went to the dollar store and got about 80 ornaments and a wire hanger. It was easy and only took about 2 hours.

On the 11&12 of November louisville had a free clinic with H1N1 flu shots. You could do the drive up or park and walk. I tried the drive up. It took an hour but I got my shot. I really wanted to get it because of traveling this Christmas, otherwise I probably would have just opted out. It turns out that 12,613 people got the H1N1 vaccination on Wed. And they had to close early on Thursday because they ran out. Around 22,000 vaccines were given. It was Crazy!

For Thanksgiving we went to a friends home along with many other families and ate and just enjoyed the company. (sorry no pics) Jared was on-call all Thanksgiving day and night and by some miracle... He had a no hitter. NONE. No pages. AMAZING.

The next 10 days will be full of studying for finals. The last one is on the 11th and then on the 14th Jared and I fly to Az for about a week and then to Utah for a couple days. We will then come back on the 22nd... AND THEN, Jaren and Emily are coming for Christmas. I hope that Jared's call day on the 24th will be like Thanksgiving :)
Anyone know of any fun Louisville activities we can do around Christmas time?

Just a funny video I found of charlie. I just got a round brush and Charlie didn't like it.

This will be probably the last post for a while because of finals. But I will catch up later. Everyone enjoy Christmas!
