Quake'n in my boots

So this morning... when I wide awake thanks to my body's confusion with time zones, I was just minding my own business getting ready for the day, listening to the radio when I got kinda dizzy. Or so i thought i did.
Just after the song finished the DJ man got on and was like... "Wow! did you feel that. All my equipment and microphones were just shaking. I think it was an earthquake... but I don't know, I will figure this out"
So, for the next 20 mins he did and announced that there was a 6.0 earthquake in Wells, Nevada, that could be felt in the SLC valley. So I am not dizzy because I am sick or crazy, ect. ... just feeling the love from Nevada. :)
I swear Nevada hates me!

Only 99 more days!!!

Yes, it is true. I can start freaking out now. We are no longer in the triple digits from our wedding day, but now in the DOUBLE DIGITS. (I don't even want to know what single digits is going to be like.) I feel like the days are just flying by, but at the same time TAKING FOREVER! I feel like I still have so much to do and this week is just a bust! There is no time for wedding this week or half of the next, maybe the next? It is funny because as i get large things out of the way... 10 little things are added to the list. example... photographer. GOT IT! and now i have to come up with 7 songs for the video, locations and times, pictures for the photo montage, special requests, payments, ect ect... WOW. Why am I doing school and trying to plan a wedding all while Jared is chillin in kentucky... Man... he got off easy :)

ONLY 99 MORE DAYS UNTIL JARED AND JENNY ARE SEALED TOGETHER FOREVER IN THE SALT LAKE CITY TEMPLE!!!!!

(and I am so excited!)

A crazy time in the airport and a day later = Valentines day and a wonderful couple days in Kentucky with Jared!

YEAH! For the funnest trip I have made so far. It was great! I finally got to go to Kentucky and visit Jared in his true kentucken colors :)
It really was bunches of fun... except the start and the end. The start you would think would be fun... the excitement of going to Kentucky, seeing Jared... ect. BUT, the airports killed my excitement. On Wednesday I left right from class to go to the airport, and right when I got to the SLC area it started to snow. I thought that it was good timing since traffic would be getting bad to slc soon. I got to the airport and boarded my flight to Nevada everything was a-ok and on time. Until the plane was delayed 1 hour because of the stupid snow. That is fine. It was just a bit stressful knowing that I had a connecting flight of which the layover was only an hour. I got to Nevada and rushed over to my gate to find, like a fool, not only was my flight delayed an hour, but Nevada was an hour behind Ut. Cool. I got some dinner and sat around. But then the flight was delayed 10 more mins, and then 30 more, and then an hour more... until they said they would let us know because all the flights were grounded and our plane from CA never came. Turns out that Nevada had a Big-old wind storm with winds of 70 mph. So I made friends with the drunks next to me and watched a movie. Until they 'ungrounded' all the flights and said that the kentucky flights would be leaving at 11 and getting in around 6-6:30 'ish' (please note... the original time to arrive was at 12:45) BUT luckily they flew a plane from TX to Nevada and picked up all the kentuckens and took off at about 10:45! estimated landing time 5:45 AM
(I've been told that they airline was smart in getting that plane because Kentuckens have got attitude lol.)
Before we got on the plane though the flight boarding people were telling us that it was going to be a bumpy ride for the first 2 hours and that we would have no treats or bathroom opportunities so do your duty now. YIPES! They were very grumpy flight attendants! It was only bumpy for about the first 30 mins so we did get our treats. And I learned why they call it a 'RED EYE' because sleeping on a plane really doesn't happen. So 3 hours of flying later and FINALLY I was in wonderful kentucky! And happy to see Jared. A bit delusional, but happy. Jared nicely let me sleep in his bed for about 2 hours and then we set out to have some fun!
Thursday:
(yes by this time somehow Wednesday was gone and Thursday had begun a fact that was hard for my body to accept)
Thursday was full of seeing sites. I saw the hospital and the school of medicine, met Mary, looked at funny old medical school pictures, saw Jared's scary apartments, did the Valentines day things... like exchanging little gifts and then going out to dinner at a Cuban restaurant. I have to say my favorite part (other than getting there) was the Cuban restaurant. We had caffeine to stay awake and some really REALLY good food and just amazing company! After dinner we called it a night.
Friday:
We got lunch at the Claudia's Diner. Yes Colonel Sander's wifes diner. (we started late because I slept in, woops) Good food, great company, funny awesome picture, snow down my pants, the great a spacious building, getting kicked out of Sam's club, going to an expensive store and looking at EXTREMELY expensive purses and shoes and then being completely embarrassed by Jared proclaiming as loud as possible how ridiculous the prices were and 5 employees asking if we needed any help because of Jared...(needless to say... Jared will never go back there, not with me at least) ... running from a gay guy, talk of ranking list, left overs and a movie later and the day was done.
Saturday:
We decided to go to the science museum and to see the Imax. Well, sadly the IMAX had just stopped working and we just messed around with the silly things there while avoiding stepping on any little kids. I swear that where ever Jared and I would go to look at something a whole crowd of people would follow!
No working IMAX, a crazy mirror, the bat factory later, and a huge pile of dog poo on my shoe later... We went to lunch at Ramsie's around the world cafe. It was fun and as Jared would say "Artsy Fartsy". Graters ice cream and then a movie Oceans thirteen and that was Saturday.
Sunday:
Church with lots of people and Jared trying to embarrass me, a LONG tour of downtown Louisville with red penguins and weird pictures that jared couldn't figure out, and then a meeting for the Honduras trip. The meeting was fun! I got to learn how to suture a pigs foot (although some girl took my original foot... the one that was perfectly cut...) and got to meet lots of people I had only heard about. That night we watched the worst movie ever, well actually we only watched about 15mins of it. 5 at the beginning, 5 in the middle and 5 at the end. Just don't watch Across the Universe. I thought it was dumb and the person that told me I should watch it needs to go through therapy. We didn't sleep much Sunday night.
Monday:
Honey nut cheerios, another movie, officially ranking places, starting registering at target, more Cuban food and then a sad sad sad sad trip to the airport and a sad sad SAD goodbye.
It was a great trip but ended toooo too soon. But completely worth it, and less than a month until I get to go back for match day!
Going to Kentucky was the best trip I have been on!

ShaMe co.......Can't buy my love!

So I went to Shane co today to pick up Jared's band. I wanted to get it for him before I went to Kentucky this next week so that he could try it on and make sure that it fit. I thought it fishy when they never called but told me that it was going to be in around January 20th or so. SO finally I just went to pick it up. I go to the desk and told the girl my name, she looks around for a bit and then asks if it might have been under a different name so I told them Jared's name. And she shuffled around some more... and more and more... And then I said to her, it might be under the wrong letter because you spelled my last name wrong on the reciept. And LUCKLY I had that recpiet because there was NO other way they would have believed that I had bought a ring there. She took the recipet and looked some more, and then went to the back room with the window you cant see through and was back there for like 10 mins, and then came and got another girl to help her and then they both were back there and looking on the computers and in draws... anywhere you could put a ring... im sure if there was a rock they would have looked under that too. They Had NO idea that Jared's ring existed and had NO information on it other than the recpiet i had (and luckly i had it!) So i was just standing and standing and watching many many many men buy a white gold necklack with a diamond pendant. Diamond stud earrings, a woman and her husband requesting a bigger diamond for her wedding ring, ect ect ect. and I had to wait there for almost 45 mins (ok... so more like 30 but it felt like forever!)for them to find the ring that I had already bought. GAH. I would not have hatted the wait, but I was trying to get to modest by design to get some bridesmaid dresses looked at before they got super busy.
Anyways, finally she came out from the mysterious back room (that if i focused long enough on the tinted window thing i could see what they were doing. lol. skills... i know. lol... )and had the ring in just a plastic baggy. I was like... what the... usually they have it in a envelope with information. I've picked up rings before I know what happens. So then she has me look at it and i did and she put it in a box and was trying to check it out of the computer and had problems. seriously seriously. So while i waited yet again for her to get the other girl to help. A man that worked there saw me and gave me a BYU bini to go with my BYU shirt. (it was new, not used) And finally they figured out, oh, we charged you too much for the ring the last time, let me credit that back to you.... Seriously. Seriously. so they charged it back, which i was all good with in all honesty, but i wanted to be mad at them they cant give me all this stuff... No you can't buy my love!
so finally they gave me the ring and I got out of there, i wanted to pull a jared and take all their cookies but they did not have any. It really was not horrible. If anything i only got good stuff from it, money back, a bini, a band, but it shouldn't be that hard.
It really would have been ok if they would have just said 'we're sorry we lost track of the information. I'm sorry you had to wait'' but no. My time means nothing to them. bah. Shane co stinks. But who knows why i was there, maybe god was trying to teach me a lesson on patience, atleast I did not yell at them.... :) Stupid Shane co. blah.

Ballet official kicks any other sports butt or atleast mine...

It is official... ballet, kicks my behind like nothing i have ever tried. I've tried a many things. Basketball, gymnastics, triple jump, long jump, discus, shot put, hurdles, sprinting, cross country in the AZ heat in August...
I just has NO idea that ballet something that seems so graceful, slow, and happy would be such a pain. LITERALLY. I realized today how easy my teacher is compared to other people. I went to a TA session today because i needed to make up a day of class (and get better... midterms are soon) So I went and there was a guy teaching the class. He was really good at ballet. Like he graduated from an arts school in europe in ballet, and started when he was a kid. Well, the stretches were killer just like in the picture with the bar and splits... we had to do that. YIPES! Putting the whole class experience into the shortest possible paragraph I just dont move like that sometimes... He was going around turning heels out in a different position we did and he came to me and was like... turn your heel and he went to try to turn it and it did not move AT ALL. And he pushed a bit more harder and then came to the conclusion and said, "I dont want to break your leg. Some people just cant do some of the moves because they started ballet later in life.'' Im like... rrrrriiight. Way to go. So I will work on it, but for now, i challenge any of you to take on ballet it is a killer workout, and yet... I still really really like it! Pink tights and all!

Minnie Mouse gets married

Well last week I saw on my phone, (not the Jared phone but my phone) that i missed my mom's call to me. So I called her back the next day. We talked for about an hour and when the conversation was about over there was something said like this... 'Oh did you hear that we are going to Disneyland today at 3?' HUH????!? What the...
First if you dont know my family this is one of the weirdest things that I have EVER heard. Nothing is ever... so spur-of-the-moment in my family. Never ever. So I think it is because 'the twins' have left and the all the sudden the family can 'PARTY'! No, but really. Never does my family do anything so spur of the moment.
So they all went to disneyland and through out my wonderful day at school I got messages of how much fun they were having. Kinda fun to be there ... in text messages. :)
Anyways, they got home safely and when I called kate and my mom they both said that they saw something and just had to get it for me. Ah how sweet! So after a couple days a package came. And when I opened it what should I find... but Mouse ears that are white with a veil on it! Minnie Mouse Wedding Ears! How cute! So I just had to get some pictures! How thoughtful my family is! I LOVE THEM!
And now all i need is some ears for Jared with a little top hat! :) I'm so excited to be sealed to that wonderful man! I love him so much!

Just a random update

Really I have no idea why I am posting anything. Nothing exciting or life changing has happened. I did however get to drive in quite the snow storm on the point of the Mt. Kinda scary when you can't see the lines on the road, and you have to find that balance of space between you and the car in front of you... not too close so you can stop in time, but not too far because then you cant see them anymore. It was actually not as stressful as i thought it would be. Many times just driving on the regular road is stressful. this was kinda fun :) but i still am not one to just LOVE snow. I do walk to school every morning, slipping and sliding on the sidewalks, trying not to let car slush on the roads splash me in the 13 degree flurries. somedays are just an adventure.

I know that it was a bit a ago, but I'm still so sad President Hinckley is gone. Im happy that he gets to be all cute with his wife, but I just always imagined him as always being there. for some reason i always just felt like he loved me, although he did not know me. I can only imagine the love our Father in Heaven has for us.

I actually just finished 'building' a cake for my roommate who had a birthday sunday and failed to tell me... I found out yesterday and she was having a hard day full of upset feelings toward some 'friends' I dont really know anything well enough to tell exactly what is going on, except it is girl drama and i had to tell people she was not home... i hope that will not be against me at the judgment... :) But the cake was beautiful... 2 layers and I am so proud because i have never made one like that.

Jared, Jared, Jared. He should be the first thing I talk about... he is all i think about anyways. Poor jared has so much going on and not much helping him, (studying for boards, letting me distract him, the flu, driving and attending rotations...) and yet he is still just so positive. How awesome! I couldn't do it. What a wonderful person! I love him! Im soooo so glad taht I get to visit him in Kentucky on FEB 14th!! Im sooo excited to see him again. Oh how i miss him.

I just remembered i had these pictures of when jared attacked joel and 'drew' all over his face... What a meanie big brother!
