This was just the beginning of the swelling. He must have had 15 stings on his face. Poor thing was scratching and Jared and I were worried about an allergic reaction so he was put on benadryl. He was a tired pup after that and by 24 hours later the swelling had gone down. Dumb dog.

Oh - poor Charlie!! Daisey had a similiar problem when we first moved to Tucson - I'm not sure what the problem was.... but after an expensive trip to the Animal ER - after hours - we gave her benadryl and she was fine. BUT the benadryl actually made her super hyper!!
We've been through the same thing with our dog. We think it was a bee sting or something and she would scratch it on the rough cement on our patio and scratch it til it bled and it took forever to heal because it would get infected. No fun at all.
